I utilize Trauma-Informed treatment in all aspects of my clinical practice. Together we will work on navigating traumatic wounds in a way that allows you to feel empowered, safe, and equipped with the necessary coping tools to having a fulfilling life. This treatment approach can consist of psycho-education on the impact of trauma, utilizing psychodynamic approaches, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Trauma-Informed Treatment

I believe an important aspect of engaging in healing work is the ability to offer ourselves self-compassion. Meaning, when difficulties arise we turn inward with kindness and loving validation instead of judgement and harshness. I will guide you through different coping skills such as mindfulness, grounding, and meditation techniques that will allow you to harness self-compassion

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a supportive form of psychotherapy that teaches individuals how to identify, challenge and reframe maladaptive thought patterns that have huge impacts on mood and behaviors. Together we will work at challenging negative core beliefs about the self and increase emotional regulation.

Psychodynamic Therapy

I utilize Psychodynamic theory into sessions by inviting individuals to explore the contents of their unconscious such as fears, aspirations, childhood experiences and defense mechanisms that guard conflicts from a persons awareness. I truly believe that our current behaviors and feelings are rooted in our past experiences and if not explored we tend to remain stuck. I empower individuals to explore how their past has affected their current lives and equip them with the belief that they do have agency over their lives and negative narratives can begin to shift.
